My art work, primarily printmaking, has always been figurative. Each image has told a story about family. Rich stories and experiences told to me by my mother, others from personal experience.
With this body of work, I depart from family and investigate small town living. These faces make up the small fishing community of Seadrift. It’s just southeast of Houston. I know these faces. They’re just like the ones in the small community where I grew up.
These faces will soon disappear. Developers have moved in and are slowly taking over.
