“Kitchen Suite” was started in 2006 as an exploration in the portrayal of everyday objects, domestic tools that we live with and use on a daily basis, that are full of a simple beauty. The isolated studies, of individual pieces initially depicted on their own, get combined with like images to create a larger whole, a transformation of inanimate objects into something more abstract – domestic events that fill space in the universe, that show us our interconnectedness, that have metaphysical validity.
